Marine Corps Family Team Building

MCFTB Director: 229-639-5767 | MCFTB Trainer: 229-639-7935

MCFTB is tasked by Headquarters Marine Corps to “enhance and support the Unit, Personal, and Family Readiness Programs by providing relevant and standardized family readiness training to unit commanders, Family Readiness Command Teams, Marines, and their families; thereby, reinforcing the pillars of resiliency, sustaining a constant state of personal and family readiness for a lifetime, and ultimately enhancing unit mission readiness.” We provide educational resources and services to promote personal growth and enhance the readiness of Marines, Sailors, and their families.  Whether you're new to the military lifestyle or you're a seasoned family member, MCFTB is here to help!

Unit, Personal & Family Readiness Program (UPFRP)

The UPFRP is designed to help Marines and families achieve a constant state of personal and family readiness.  While the UPFRP is the responsibility of the Commanding Officer (CO) of each unit, MCFTB trains and supports the Command Team, to include the Uniformed Readiness Coordinator (URC) and appointed volunteers. We offer Command Team Training, Uniformed Readiness Coordinator (URC) Training, Family Readiness Command Team Advisor/Assistant Training and PII/OPSEC Training.

Readiness & Deployment Support Program (RDSP)

As part of the supporting establishment, MCLB Albany units do not deploy as a whole.  Rather, individual service members may deploy as an Individual Augmentee (IA).  In these instances, the RDSP works in conjunction with the unit's URC to offer briefs and workshops that empower and educate service members and their families during all stages of a deployment.

Deployment Readiness Workshops:

The Lifestyles, Insights, Networking, Knowledge, and Skills (L.I.N.K.S.) is a volunteer driven, team-mentoring program designed to meet the needs of the Marine and their entire family: spouse, children, and extended family members.  L.I.N.K.S. provides and introduction to the Marine Corps culture and Lifestyle, thereby increasing participants' ability to avoid problems, and allowing them to become more self-sufficient, as well as teaching participants the many military and community resources and benefits available to them.  The program offers L.I.N.K.S. classes for spouses, Marines, kids, teens, and mentor training. L.I.N.K.S. is most effective with a strong group of spouse volunteers who have a desire to guide and mentor their fellow military spouses and family members.
